Journey back to the heart of the earth
Come together in community to journey back to the heart of the earth and your inner knowing through the ancient medicine of cacao.
The medicina of the forest is found in the stillness. After drinking ceremonial cacao, you’ll release the chatter of the mind and practice listening to the whispers of your soul in a safe space weaved with medicine music, sacred silence, drumming, and a guided shamanic meditation journey.
In the gentle quiet of the darkness, we can see our inner light reveal itself. Commune with the wise teachers that are the elements, plants, and animals, and allow yourself to return to harmony.
What is Cacao
Cacao is an ancient plant medicine of South and Mesoamerica. Consumed as a warm beverage with spices and honey, cacao connects you back to the heart of the earth and creates space for you to experience deep presence and unconditional love. In our loving community space, you’ll practice opening your heart to yourself and others.
In addition to an abundance of physical health benefits, the gentle spirit of cacao has the ability to melt away the scars that past experiences have formed over your heart. Join us to feel the love of the earth, the universe, your spirit team, and of heartfelt community. The cacao we will be drinking in ceremony is made and prepared by Indigenous medicine people of Guatemala and is carried by love, intention, and generations of ancient tradition.
What to Expect:
Ceremony can last 2-3 hours, so please plan accordingly.
Please hydrate your body with plenty of water in the days leading up to the event.
Eat nutritious foods and refrain from consuming alcohol or other intoxicating substances on the day itself.
Bring water, a journal, and a pen
Dress comfortably in loose-fitting attire that allows you to sit, move, and lay down freely and with ease. You are welcome to adorn yourself with ceremonial wear if you feel called.
Consider removing shoes and bringing along a pair of socks for added comfort and warmth
- Most importantly, release any and all expectations and simply arrive with an open heart.
About Your Guide, Angelee
Angelee Andorfer-Lopez hails from the vast deserts of Arizona and is a meditation teacher, cacao ceremonialist, and practicing medicine woman. Her work is informed by earth-based, indigenous wisdom of Mesoamerica, the high Andes, and the Amazon jungle. She has over four years of experience holding space for women embarking on their spiritual journeys and has had the honor of studying the sacred cacao plant medicine with Maya K’iche elder Tata Jerico and other Mayan teachers of Guatemala, as well as receiving guidance from her own ancestors who cultivated cacao in the Paria Peninsula of Venezuela. Angelee believes in awakening the life force in those she serves, and leads from the heart, always. Her respect and reverence for the ancient traditions of cacao is reflected in her practices and the cacao she prepares for ceremonies is ethically sourced from Guatemala or Ecuador.
Additional Information:
- This event is open to anyone who feels the call. All genders, ages, and experience levels welcome.
- Spaces are very limited and capped at around 12 people to maintain intimacy.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, I recommend to consult your physician before consuming ceremonial cacao. If you have been advised by your medical professional to avoid dark chocolate, you may still attend ceremony and participate without consuming cacao — instead, a tea will be provided. A lighter dose of cacao can also be provided, please connect with me in advance if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have questions.
- Any questions? Please email Angelee directly and she will be happy to answer any questions you may have: angelee@manifesthouse.com
