Price range: $444.00 through $555.00

LION’S GATE RETREAT

8/8 A Portal for Personal Activation & Creative Expression

August 8–9 | Flagstaff, Arizona

Join us for an intimate weekend of connection, creativity, reflection, and personal activation during the peak of the Lion’s Gate Portal.

With just 8 participants, this experience is intentionally designed to create a supportive and spacious environment where meaningful transformation can unfold. Through ceremony, breathwork, sound healing, creative expression, earth medicine, nourishing meals, and time in nature, we’ll explore the themes of personal power, manifestation, and creative awakening associated with the 8/8 portal.

The Lion’s Gate Portal is an annual astrological alignment associated with heightened awareness, transformation, and intention-setting. Together, we’ll use this energetic window to release what no longer serves, reconnect with our creativity, and align with what is calling us forward.

Throughout the weekend, Amber Hanson will guide opening and closing ceremonies, Cheryl Bailey will lead breathwork and sound healing experiences, and Cathleen Mitchell & Jennifer Flowers will facilitate a creative expression workshop inspired by the possibilities emerging through this portal with flowers as our guides.

Alongside our facilitated sessions, there will be plenty of room to simply be—sharing meals, stargazing beneath Flagstaff’s dark skies, enjoying meaningful conversations, and allowing space for reflection, connection, and integration.

RETREAT SCHEDULE

Saturday, August 8

10:00 AM | Arrival

11:00 AM–12:30 PM | Opening Circle: Activation of the 8/8 Portal
Outdoor gathering with introductions, intention setting, and guided meditation. Amber Hanson will offer an optional supportive earth medicine microdose experience as part of the opening ceremony.

12:30–2:30 PM | Breathwork & Sound Healing Journey
Cheryl Bailey guides a restorative breathwork and sound immersion designed to regulate the nervous system, release stored emotion, and create space for clarity and embodiment. Herbal tea will be served for grounding and integration.

2:30–3:00 PM | Journaling & Light Nourishment
Reflective integration time with journaling prompts and light seasonal noshes.

3:00–5:00 PM | Creative Expression: Flowers as Portals
Facilitated by Cathleen Mitchell & Jennifer Flowers
This immersive watercolor workshop invites participants to explore flowers as living symbols of beauty, resilience, and transformation. Inspired by the botanical work of Georgia O’Keeffe we’ll slow down to observe the natural world and translate its patterns, color, and sacred geometry into personal expression. Flower essences are gently woven into the creative process to support presence, emotional openness, and intuitive connection. As we paint, we’ll reflect on the flower’s center as a symbol of inner transformation—each piece becoming a quiet portal inward, and an expression of what is ready to bloom within..

5:00–6:00 PM | Rest & Integration

6:00 PM | Shared Dinner
Catered dinner by AZ Sunshine Kitchen.
