The Gemini Full Moon peaks at 23° Gemini on December 15th at 2:01 AM MST and this marks the final Full Moon of 2024. The energy around this Full Moon feels a bit murky with some illusions. It’s full of thoughts, mind-chatter, reflection, celebration, expansion by way of thinking and processing, perspective shifts, out-of-the-box thinking, the duality, and polarizing experiences, self-expression through art, movement and self expression through the way we speak to ourselves and to others. 

This Full Moon is activating the Sagittarius and Gemini axis. The Sun in Sagittarius is the ultimate truth seer, cutting through the delusion, but seeking truth through our higher consciousness. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, and at its highest frequency is known as the Philosopher. Sagittarius holds a strong sense of expansion through the way we think, see, process and move through the world. Sagittarius is all about the actions that expand our awareness through an unfamiliar experience.

On the opposition, we have the Moon, and our subconscious being illuminated through the sign of Gemini, the child archetype, which brings a sense of curiosity, and child-like innocence. You will always hear Gemini being strongly influenced and connected to communication. Gemini is the storyteller or the journalist, collecting information and revealing truths. Ruled by Mercury, the messenger of the Gods, Gemini is all about collecting information and sharing it. Oftentimes Gemini is perceiving the world through a collection of stories and information In the process Gemini will gather information and try to see everything to unravel the secret of the world and reveal the truth, that is the end goal of Gemini.

We often hear Gemini be referred to as the twins, which can reflect the duality in life. The duality in which we experience life has it’s own signature of alchemy, it’s 1+1=3. When two come together and there is a synergy of co-creation, something new is brought to light. It is not taking one persons ideas and solely using those ideas, it is utilizing the combination of the two ideas and recognizing there is something new that is born out of this particular synergy. 

Gemini is ruled by Mercury who stations direct on the Full Moon, after his three week retrograde journey. We often connect retrogrades as a time of miscommunication, misunderstandings, technological slow-downs and while that is true, I like to view retrogrades as an opportunity to slow down and review some narratives, and actually gain clarity on where you can take more action on once Mercury goes direct again. In the slowing down during Mercury Rx, we give ourselves the space to breathe and receive messages. So whatever messages came through for you during the last three weeks of Mercury’s retrograde cycle, the Full Moon offers an opportunity to see them as they are, release the old narratives that no longer offer service to your highest potential, and take action on the messages where you gained more clarity and understanding. 

Gemini wants to speak, and talk to process what is going on, but the luminaries bring a potent opportunity for what is seen to be felt through our body. With this cloudy,  heady, and high mind energy where it could be hard to fully grasp what is being seen and reflected back to us, we can rely on our physical and feeling body. Remember there is a lot more going on behind the curtain, there is much more being orchestrated through our experience than what we can see. This is a feeling and a knowing (Sun in Sagittarius) from our higher consciousness. So when the thoughts get murky, cluttered and unclear, trust your body and know that our reality and human experience is multidimensional. Our physical bodies have a greater knowing, that oftentimes cannot be explained and we are living in a giant web of universal events that are constantly being orchestrated to support your greater visions. Reality is being mirrored back to us all the time through the fundamental process of Nature.

Gemini is the Child archetype, having an innocent curiosity for life. Before we knew what rules really were, or why we have to do certain things in life in a structured way, we were children and full of curiosity and sometimes that curiosity brought us a wild sense of exploration.

Full Moon (Sun+ Moon) square Neptune in Pisces

Neptune is currently at 27° Pisces and just went direct earlier this week. This is the last time Neptune will connect with the luminaries while in the sign of Pisces. Neptune is one of many planets that change signs next year and offering a significant new energetic shift. With Neptune direct in Pisces, our dreamworld will be a significant place to pay attention to. Our intuition may be enhanced and connected to the deep feels in the sign of Pisces. But be mindful of the illusions and fantasies that Neptune in Pisces can create. It may be that you do not have all the information yet, so be mindful of putting a narrative to something, before truly knowing. But this transit wants you to trust your intuition and listen to your body. Instead of making decisions through words, make your decisions through being open to receiving more information through a sense of faith and trust. With this strong water placement, it can feel a little overwhelming and emotional. There is not a lot of Earth energy at the moment, so this can make us feel little ungrounded and emotionally overwhelmed. But water (Pisces) is life, and it holds infinite potential and creation. 

Moon sextile Chiron Rx in Aries – This aspect could bring up wounding around our relationships. This is illuminating the mirror of relationships. How do we relate to others and what is being reflected back to me while in relationship? Where do I need to bring more self awareness in my own life and where do I need more to do more healing. Relational / interpersonal healing. Chiron is the wounded healer, and Chiron brings a healthy sense of compassion, and love through the healing process. Chiron brings self-mastery through our wounds, its a wisdom that can initiate you to your next level of evolution. 

Mercury is stationing direct in Sagittarius 

Messages, ideas, and new perspectives regarding your personal freedom and self expression may have been revealed to you over the last few weeks while Mercury was retrograding, and once the fog clears and you feel confident in the messages you received, then it is time to take action on some of those revelations. But do so with deep trust and faith, Sagittarius is a mutable-fire sign that expands through truth and higher consciousness. 

What narratives have you been telling yourself that are no longer true, or were ever really true? Release them, so you can stand in your highest truth with confidence.
